About SharkSpace

SharkSpace LLC is a privately owned profitable company founded in 2004. It was previously known as SJR Hosting. However,, it was later rebranded to the present sharkspace hosting in 2006. The company officials announce that the company was only rebranded and the management and the support team remains the same. As you can see, businessheadache.com is hosted on sharkspace and this is the reason why I wanted to share my experience by writing this sharkspace review.

SharkSpace Hosting Experience

As you can read from my HostGator review, I have numerous domains hosted on various web hosts. In this section of sharkspace review, I will concentrate on my experience with sharkspace hosting.  It’s been some time I decided to host with this company and I was a bit skeptical at first as the company was not a big name in the web hosting industry. As you know, for any business uptime and reliability is crucial. I decided to go with sharkspace thinking I will give it a go. Here are some things I have noted about sharkspace hosting for businessheadache.com.

  1. Loading speed is pretty much the same as HostGator sites I have hosted. This means that the site is at par with one of the biggest names in the hosting industry.
  2. I haven’t had any downtimes issues till now with sharkspace hosting.

You have a 30 day time period to test this company’s service. If you are not happy with their services, they will give you a full refund.

Technical Details

In this section of the SharkSpace review I will deal with the technical details and features.

  1. Control Panel: CPanel
  2. Order processing time: 5 minutes
  3. Pre-installed software’s: Yes, Softaculous
  4. PHP version: 5.2.12
  5. MySQL version: 5.1.30
  6. Uptime Guarantee: 99.9% (or else refund your amount!!!)

Customer Support for SharkSpace Hosting

The biggest plus point for SharkSpace hosting is their customer support. Before I began to write my sharkspace review, I recalled the times I have contacted them. I contacted them a few times for matters like changing primary domain and so on. What blew me away was the time they took to answer my queries. My average wait time for the response is 3-5 minutes. That is simply amazing for a web hosting company. The support staff is really knowledgeable and quick to solve any issues.

Web Security

I am a person who has been subjected to hacking in the past. So I value security for my websites and know how important and critical it can be for your business website or your money making site. A customer lost is money down the drain. I wouldn’t go to a website which infected my computer with viruses and so there ends your potential sale if you do not focus on security aspect of your site.

Here is what SharkSpace has to say about implementing security on their site

We deploy several advanced features to help prevent website hacking. They include a complex security system to block hundreds of website hacking and defacing techniques that are used to compromise outdated scripts while not affecting normal website operation. Additionally SharkSpace deploys mod_security with rule set, firewalls, suPHP (which allows you to use the permissions 644 and 755 as writable instead of the dangerous permissions of 666 and 777) and brute force protection.

Hosting Plans

SharkSpace has hosting plans that comes in 3 flavors. Baby Shark, Hammerhead and great White. I personally chose Hammerhead which enables me to host several domains under one hosting. I also took a dedicated IP address for my online business blog, BusinessHeadAche.com.  Plans start from 4.95$ per month and is one of the cheapest hosting you will find.

Conclusion

Coming to the end of my sharkspace hosting review, I would like to comment a bit more about my experiences

Get an account with SharkSpace if

  1. You want a reliable webhost with the cheapest pricing available.
  2. If you want quick customer support (Blazing fast I must say).
  3. Great uptime (Till now my uptime has been 100%).
  4. You are looking for a reliable reseller hosting partner.

Think of another web host if

  1. You have a large business which gets more than 50000 visitors a day. (Anything about 5000 visitors a day, consider a VPA hosting from sharkspace.com itself)
  2. You might want to upgrade to a dedicated server later on (They do not have a dedicated hosting plan as of now)

Head over to the home page of SharkSpace.com and choose the best suited plan for your business website. Get rid of your headache about hosting issues.
